Youth Aid Panel & L.E.A.D

Youth Aid Panel

The YAP program was formed in 2006 by the "Lancaster County District Attorney's Office."  West Hempfield was one of the first police departments to incorporate the panel into its array of crime fighting tools.  It consists of community volunteers specifically trained to assist and guide juveniles in their community who have made bad choices, as an alternative to entering the Juvenile Court System.

L.E.A.D

"Law Enforcement Against Drugs" is a program which offers "Concerned Parents" another way in monitoring their child's fight against drugs.  Easy to use test kits are available for sale by the "West Hempfield Township Police Department", for our township residents,  with no questions asked.
